Applying to nursing school...

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I got my BS about 2 months ago and since then I've had no luck finding a job. So I recently decided that I wanted to go back to school and get a BSN. Ive done a lot of research about the nursing field and so far, it sounds like lots of fun, especially pediatrics! But I'm afraid that I won't be able to fulfill the admission requirements in time to start the accelerated BSN program in May. The application deadline is November 1. I have yet to take the NET, get CPR certified, and I still have 1 more prereq to finish. So what do you guys think? Can I make the deadline? Or should I just wait until next year to apply? I really don't want to waste anymore time than I already have, but I don't want to risk not getting in because I rushed through the application process. Ahh!

Do you have to have all that completed by Nov 1? Or just in progress? One of the schools I'm applying to doesn't require you have everything completed by the application deadline, just that you have it done by the first day of class.

Depending on what the prereq is, you may be able to find an accelerated version online if you do have to have it completed by Nov. 1.
