anyone use an a&p coloring book to help study? which one do you recommend?

i bought the kapit/elson book yesterday. it is a little more in depth than i wanted at the moment (was looking for a refresher type thing before the class as well as something i could use in class) but i think it will work just fine! i will probably make copies of a couple of pages (like the heart, etc) to color before class begins so that i can freshen up in those areas (and because i know we will have to know those... lol)

thanks for all the suggestions!

alnee (who cant draw a straight line if her life depended on it so coloring the pictures will probably help more! lol)

I hear you on the not being able to draw thing. I tried free-handing a humerus the other day...anterior view..with the head at the top and the capitulum/trochlea at the bottom....it looked exactly like a curved member+ testicles. I didn't even realize it until I was done trying to draw it...I think my lab thought I was *nuts* but I fell out laughing over it.

eh, i skipped over it bc it was like 40$ here is a website that i use that is very very helpful, http://www.mhhe.com/saladin3 it has interactive study guides and takes you through the entire course from head to toe! you can go to the "study partner" and go through the chapters and take the quizzes and whatnot or you can go and go to the drop down menu and pick a chapter and there are more quizzes, interactive labeling, crosswords, note cards, etc...hope this helps!

love it! added it to my bookmarks! i may need to refer to it in physiology next semester! i'm suprised they didn't make you register to look it over. (most other publishing sites seem to make you have an access key) thanks for sharing!

If anyone needs the Wynn Kapit-Lawrence Elson coloring book, let me know. I'd be happy to sell it- I used it to color ONE WHOLE PAGE and never used it again!

I used "The Anatomy Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence Elson. I totally loved it. It really helped me with A&P. But I love to color. It is my favorite activity with my kids. I find it very relaxing. So it was fun to color and learn at the same time. It really helped when we studied the muscles.

I also used this book, I only used it for the really hard stuff like blood vessels and nerves and things. I took the class last semester and I still have the book and plan to keep it for reference.
