i took digitals of everything!! printed them, made powerpoint quizzes, etc.

i thought it was a waste of time. my mother has gone back to school and is taking a&p right now, she draws everything out herself...but then she is much more talented that way then i am.

I used "The Anatomy Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence Elson. I totally loved it. It really helped me with A&P. But I love to color. It is my favorite activity with my kids. I find it very relaxing. So it was fun to color and learn at the same time. It really helped when we studied the muscles.

I bought the one by MarieB. I only colored one page and then basically it sat around and collected dust ha ha. So, then I gave it to my kids and they had a blast with it...most...expensive...coloring ....book...they...will...ever...have... :)
LOL....no doubt!!

I used a coloring book for my Human Evolution class and loved it, some people hated it. I think it just depends on how you learn. It helped me to see how things physically related to each other, but if that's not the way you retain info the best, then it's not as good.
thanks for all the help!!
i will check out which ones i can find at some of the local stores and go from there. i think that it would help me out with memorizing the information a little more. really help me to see exactly where things are and follow the flows, etc. i am looking for all the extra help i can get since this will be a shorter summer semester and it is the only a&p that i would have to take (a&p for health sciences geared towards the pre-nursing students at the school)...
thanks again for the suggestions!!

I also used the "The Anatomy Coloring Book" by Wynn Kapit and Lawrence Elson. It was great and helped me a lot.
I bought the next book for Physiology and haven't used it at all..... actually kinda forgot I had the darned thing. I am keeping it tho as a refresher for nurisng school should I need it.
I bought the microbio coloring book too and haven't used it either. We just had so many other things to do in these classes that left little time to color!
So... where it did help me in anatomy, I wasted the $$ on the other 2.
Hugs!

I draw my stuff out too.. I'm really not great, but it helps me learn it. I think the act of drawing it helps it "sink in" for me. Also, I've got pretty good handwriting, so it's kinda becoming the thing for everyone in class to look over my notes and my diagrams. Since everyone keeps asking me if I've got the notes, it's good incentive for me to keep up.
I'm thinking about scanning them and posting them on the internet after the semester is over... I'll let you guys here in AllNuses-land know if I ever get around to it! I'm sure someoneout there could benefit from them! :)
