*Microbiology Spring 2012*

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone will be taking Microbiology in the spring..if so I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for the new yr for this particular class. I figured that we can all be able to post questions and answers here regarding the class or just to talk about anything regarding micro.

I will be starting my Micro class on tuesday im going to edison state college in fort myers fl. Im very excited and also a little nervous to be starting school after a semester break.

I loved Micro! Even more so than Physiology. I'm not totally sure why exactly but it is very interesting looking at things under the microscope and watching live cells instead of slides. Maybe I should've been a Med Tech. Nah, my heart is in nursing. I didn't find the class too terribly hard, just alot of work and studying. Each lecture day I had I got a new stack, thick stack, of power point notes to go through and study. That was overwhelming! If you've gotten through A&P, Micro won't be as bad at least I don't think it was.

Micro was a breeze compared to A&P.

Just study the notes, do your lab work, and you'll be fine!

I'm with you guys this semester. I don't start until the 12th in TN. I'm excited to get started! I've been planning all of this for a few months and it will actually be real in a week. :thankya:

i start jan 24th....i am VERY nervous about micro....have one prof for lec and a different prof for lab....never had either one before...so its a learning game all over again....tyring to figure out how your prof tests.....had the same one for A & P 1 and 2.....wish he could be our micro as well!!!......goodluck to all!

How did you do on histology in bio and AP? If you did well, you'll be fine in micro. Yes, it's always a game for the first test, at least, when you're trying to figure them out. You've gotten this far - you can do it. Be confident! I've found that the way I think influences my results...so now I believe I can do anything. LOL.

I'm taking Micro and A&P II this semester. I got an A out of AP I, and I've already started reading my micro book (classes start Jan. 9th), and it actually seems pretty interesting! I'm not worried. These are the only two classes that I'm taking, so it should be ok. Ready to rock and roll! Good luck to US all!!

NuSu12...canton is upstate.....not albany upstate but WAY upstate.....about 7 hrs from the city...

Histology wasnt one of my favorite topics but I did well in it for A P 2....received A's in 1 and 2.....i took bio in highschool and that was 30+ yrs ago...hehe.....i did remember some stuff though....so the ol brain isnt gone yet!!...

looking forward to picking everyones brains once class starts!!!

I will be starting Jan 25th. I am doing an 8 week hybrid version. You do the lecture online and lab in person. And it's 8 weeks long. I'm in MA. great post!
