Took the NCLEX-RN this morning. Got 75 questions, finished in 45 minutes and the computer shut off!! Walked out of the building in a daze, and called my mom crying sure I had failed. Did the PVT before driving, because I couldn't stop shaking. Held my breath and the pop up appeared! Sorta in a daze now and very relieved!
I don't think much of the 'PVT', but think of it this way: do you feel that you did so poorly that it's likely that you failed in the minimum number of questions....or is it more likely you passed? With only 75 questions, the computer had decided that either giving you more questions was futile since you could never pass....OR more questions were futile since you had already demonstrated the passing standard.Which do you think is more likely? I'm betting on you passing :)
I'm not sure if anyone walks out of the testing center feeling that they have overwhelmingly passed, but I think I know what you mean.
Did you do the PearsonVue trick immediately or wait a bit? I'm taking my NCLEX on Monday at 12:30! I am driving an hour and a half to take it, so I am thinking of taking my laptop to check my score before I drive home...but I don't want to do it too soon, lol!
I walked out of the test center and got on my phone it said delivery successful but I wasn't ready to check it yet. I drove to starbucks right across from the center and decided to check and I got the good pop up. That being said you should be able to do it as soon as your done.
Hi everyone. I've been reading all the post here regarding the PVT, and I tried it myself today and unfortunately I got the bad pop up. It's sad but reading all the RN's that retook the exam and passed inspires me. I wonder what review materials the re-takers used and passed with flying colors? The materials I used were:
Feuer Audio
Saunders Comprehensive Review NCLEX-RN Examination 5th edition.
Borrowed Kaplan book with CD at Library
Gapuz Review for NCLEX when I was in the Philippines
I believe that all that I mentioned are good materials, but it is probably my study plan and schedule that has flaws. I know we shouldn't rely on the PVT, but with the given track record of aspiring RN's or PN's that went straight to the CC page failed and had to take the NCLEX again. Your study plan from start to end would probably help guide me. If you have any Materials you could recommend or send me I would greatly appreciate it.
Congratulations the new RN's and PN's.
Congrats! I took my NCLEX last year and the PVT worked for me and everyone else I've ever known who has used it. I was able to check on my state's Board of Nursing website within a few days to confirm.
I remember feeling completely terrible after my NCLEX test. My test ended with 75 questions. I thought the test was really hard and I was sure that I had failed miserably and went home and just layed around in agony. LOL! But it was not the case.
So I took the NCLEX yesterday. 45 minutes to test 75 questions and like most of you felt in over my head the whole time. I used the PVT and received the "good" error message. Alabama does not participate in Quick Results but instead has its own online results tool, however, the tool requires a confirmation number. I've searched through every email and can't find a number referred to as a confirmation number. Anyone else from Alabama know where this number is location? Nursing Diagnosis: Disturbed thought pattern, related to anxiety, as evidenced by obsessively checking BON, Pearson Vue, and reading allnurses.com chat boards.
