Took the NCLEX-RN this morning. Got 75 questions, finished in 45 minutes and the computer shut off!! Walked out of the building in a daze, and called my mom crying sure I had failed. Did the PVT before driving, because I couldn't stop shaking. Held my breath and the pop up appeared! Sorta in a daze now and very relieved!

This made me laugh because this was pretty much exactly my experience three and a half years ago! I did not know about the Pearson Vue trick, and CA doesn't do quick results, so my agony was a bit more prolonged. I remember thinking, "all that studying and the test is over in 40 minutes?!" I also called mom in tears ;-) All good signs--congrats!

sounds like a pass to me.. congrats!
Have to say I went to a school that prepared us very well. I graduated on the 12th. My school required us to take Virtual ATI as a grade during our final semester, then we were able to continue until we took the NCLEX. I tried Saunders 5th edition but wasn't terribly impressed. I tried to at least do one ATI test daily and have been doing test regularly for the last 6 months.

Job well done. It's beautiful to see that RN behind your signature and to wear that name tag with those big initials...RN. Congrat and welcome on board.

I don't think much of the 'PVT', but think of it this way: do you feel that you did so poorly that it's likely that you failed in the minimum number of questions....or is it more likely you passed? With only 75 questions, the computer had decided that either giving you more questions was futile since you could never pass....OR more questions were futile since you had already demonstrated the passing standard.
Which do you think is more likely? I'm betting on you passing :)

Did you do the PearsonVue trick immediately or wait a bit? I'm taking my NCLEX on Monday at 12:30! I am driving an hour and a half to take it, so I am thinking of taking my laptop to check my score before I drive home...but I don't want to do it too soon, lol!

Congrats!!! is this what it said when you did the trick, Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.?? I just finished mine and this is what is said.
Krazylady- I walked out of the testing center, got in my car, pulled out my phone with shaking hands and logged in. I was told as long as the status is "Delivery Successful" then it should work. I would say I waited at most 10 minutes. I had an hour and a half trip to so knew I would never make it home without knowing! Good luck on Monday!
