We found out last week that my SIL [Diane Wagner] has cancer. She is 54 y/o. We thought it was mild, because the oncologist wouldn't tell her what she had or how bad it was. 2 days ago, I found out that she has ovarian cancer. I couldn't get a grade on it, but the oncologist said that she had a tumor on her liver and a big one in her peritnium [abdominal cavity]. She had her first chemo yesterday.
I got a call from my MIL last night, telling us that it is NOT ovarian cancer, but that it is a type of ovarian cancer. Actually, she has colon, lung, and liver cancer. The oncologist graded it as a 4. She is detemined to fight this and needs all the prayers she can get.
I don't know at this time whether she is going to have surgery.
You will all be in my prayers also, what an especially awful time of year to have this happen (not that ANY time of year is "OK"), the holidays can sure make it harder though.
