Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

I don't think PV really looks at the HESI scores. I think as long as you meet the minimum requirements on it, you're good.

Thanks for the responses guys! Also, how long does it take for the CON to receive the test scores? And I've been reading on this a couple of forums about a "purple letter"? Can anyone explain what this is and when they received it? Thanks

The purple letter is the application for the Con, when you meet all the requirements.

Hey guys, Im kinka confused about the 2 ref letters. can they both be from college instructors or 1 must be from a personal/agency detailing ab community service? I dont know if i did any community service and have no idea what it is. Someone pls help >_

They told me that one has to be from a college Professor, and the other one can be from an agency where you did your community service;however, you can have a personal one.

However, I think lalacb 123 got her letter's of recommendation from two Professors.

I had one letter from my professor and one letter from my honor's society.

This is my first time applying to pv nursing school...Do I have to send in my transcripts first so they can see if I'm eligible to apply there? Someone told me that but I just want to make sure

Lovely122, you can apply to the main campus and the CON at the same time. So yes, send in your transcripts to the main campus. Look at the course guide to ensure you have the required courses and enough credits to apply.
