Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

Hi everyone. I just have a question, has anyone taken the new TSI Assessment exam? I have completed all my prerequisites, they said that my TSI status is incomplete that i have to write and pass the TSI Exam before i can get the Purple Application to CON.

I did last semester. I only had to retake the math portion.

Hello oluoma,

I took mine last semester too. I think it will last for two years (why you took the math section again if you just took it last semester lalacb123?), but take the Accuplacer is really easy.

Thanks all. They will not accept Accuplacer or any other Exam than the New TSI assessment. I was told that from August 2013 The new Exam replaces all other. I will just take it this week and hopefully, i will pass all the sections. Receiving the purple application from CON depend on my passing the TSI.

@Moneca, because when I originally took the exam prior to the start of college I passed all sections but the math portion. When I applied to PV last semester, they informed me that in order to be TSI complete I have to retake the math portion.

I didn't look through all of the replies. How many volunteer hours do you need? What if you volunteered 5 years of your life to the armed forces? That count?

Oh ok, I tough we had to take the test every time we apply. Lalacb123, do you know any scholarship that I can start apply right now? or I have to be accepted in the nursing program in order to apply for one.

They are changing many things and making everything more difficult to apply. What is the new test that they are requiring right now? I hope mine is still ok?
