Hello Guys, I hope you don't mind me joining the fun. I also recieved provisional acceptance to the Prairie View CON pending successful completion of the pre-reqs. I just finished my last 4 classes at HCC last week. I am so nervous. Have you all done all your vaccinations and stuff? I feel so anxious. Everyone is telling me to enjoy my summer off but I just can't stop thinking about school. I am so happy. I will be in the LVN -->BSN program. What about you?

Hey guys well unfortunately for me I did not know that taking summer classes before we officially started the program was an option. I sure would have loved to get a slight taste of it before jumping in head first. The LVN advisor certainly did not make me aware of that option. All they said was they advise students to take summers off to have that mental break. Because taking summer courses doesn't help you graduate any quicker it just helps to lighten the load. But I sure would have loved to even been offered the option to lighten my load. Because the 1st semester for LVNs is 13 hrs, and I just took 13hrs at HCC and worked FULL time and it almost killed me lol. So I cannot imagine what 13hrs in PV will be like.
Leeleeb: Since her advisor didnt mention summer classes, I'm thinking LVN-BSNs dont have the option for summer classes. Because since they dont have to take exactly what we will be taking.... just a thought in my mind..
