Practice Teas Test

Published

Hello, I was wondering if anyone that didn't do so great on the online practice test (teas) did a lot better on the real thing?

sacstate2010, it seems like you maybe reliable help with preparation of the teas. i am taking the exam december 19, 2009 and need help of what to focus my studying on. i am reviewing, but everything seems to be very overwhelming; reading this forum and studying study guides. any suggestions?

Good luck to all of you who has to take it. It is not the simplest thing, but I would not worry too much either.

I am a little nervous about taking the teas. I am schedule to take it on Friday. I have already taken the online practice exam twice, and got the exact test both times. Is this the norm? I want to take it a third time, but I only if the exams are different. It seems as if it's only one practice exam that they re-use. The science part is my weakest so I will be paying more attention to that area.

Yes..the practice test online is a repeat, but it helps. Try to use different websites for the science part because it is such a broad area. Me, personally, I did not feel that the ATI study manual helped for the science section on the test. The science section is more of a either you know it or not type of deal. It would behoove you to study rocks, faults, and boundaries (divergent, subduction, and so forth). Know about the scientific methods and how it relates to what's being asked in the questions. Is your school taking the overall composite score or the scoring of each section?

were those ?'s on yor teas test?

yes, they were...I couldn't wait to get that test over.

thanks. i will be taking my teas in a few weeks and im freaking out about the science section...

i'm taking my second retake on sat nov 14. i'm scared yet a bit excited?? i dont know.obviously, i failed my first one due to lack of sleep and lack of preparation kinda.. because i studied 2 months b4 my actual test and just skimmed the reviewer the night before.. hehe. by the way, i scored 60%. math was my lowest score. =(

i was wondering if the tests are just the same ones. i took the test on september, and reading what sacstate2010's posted, i remember her test's contents were the same as what iv taken. except unless we took it the same day.

im planning to take the online test later. i was wondering as well if i could still view/review the test after taking it. coz i was actually planning on clicking "print screen" it while taking the test. haha anybody has taken the online one yet? any advices on both ??

thanks a lot.:loveya:

Wow! Thank you. I will surely be doing some last minute web searches for the science section. My school uses the overall composite score and the minimum overall you need is a 55. However, you have to score in the high 80's or 90's to be competitive.

Sorry, you won't be able to print from the online practice test. I took it and the links were disabled. You can take twice though, without paying a second time.

Agree

I'm taking TEAS later today at 11am. It's 2am right now and I can't sleep because of the anxiety. All of a sudden, my school got rid of the accelerated nursing program I wanted to apply to... So I abruptly applied to other schools just yesterday and I'm taking TEAS today. I did not get to study at all and I pretty much failed the practice test... The deadline for the programs is next week so I get this one chance. WISH ME LUCK PLEASE.
