Peth blood test are becoming more common for monitoring along with urine etg, and they detect up to 100 different substances. Just a finger prick onto 3 spots, dried blood spots (DBS). There's no studies on this, but do blood donations, especially a Power Red donation help Peth detectability? Power Red donations let you donate 2 units of whole RBCs. Peth looks for molecules on RBCs.
Or would they just centrifuge the remaining RBCs and compare that with your H/H and the result would be the same?
The anecdotal experiences are all over the place. Many here have drank just 1 time and gotten hit with a Peth 7 days later and still positive.

I wouldn't chance it. Don't drink during your sentence.

Peth only tests for alcohol

Not true - Peth DBS dried blood spot test can check for many things. Alcohol is the best since it can detect 2-4 weeks. It can also detect benzos, many other prescription drugs like Ambien, opiates, PCP and a host of other things.
Check out this sheet example I found:

Yes, this is saying using the dried blood spot technology. But a Peth test tests only for Phosphatidylethanol which is specific to alcohol.

LOL, I see what you're saying - I kept repeating "Peth test." Just for everyone to know, my monitoring agency and many others in the surrounding states now refer to a "Peth Plus" test. Peth plus test means you will get a DBS that will test for 50 other things along with the standard alcohol metabolite. It only costs a few more dollars than the standard Peth test, so why not pick DBS?

I'm trying to figure out what a peth test and blood donation have to do with one another. Are you trying to figure out if you can drink and get around the test by donating blood?
Why do they test for antipsychotics? People can't take antipsychotixs and be a nurse?

Some actually have street value and are used recreationally. I imagine they're looking for the use of meds without a script or the program's knowledge.

And the antidepressants?

Some people have peth tests to check for antidepressants and other psychiatric medications as part of their monitoring contract. Basically, once you get flagged for alcohol use disorder, etc or anything and if you take prescription meds, they will make sure you are taking them. So just like how they check to make sure there's no alcohol etgs in your system, they will make sure there is sertraline in your system for your MDD diagnosis.
Once you get into monitoring, it's a pain getting out and through the years!

Why a pain after the monitoring is over? Some of us are in a monitoring agreement but don't need to be.
