Potential Employer...Advice.

Hey all!

I am in my third year of nursing school and have applied for a scholarship at a local hospital where they will pay for my tuition and then I would work for them after graduation. I have an interview with them next week and the HR rep I've been corresponding with told me the interview would be at least an hour long.

I've never had interviews that long -- And it has me a little concerned. I'm just unsure of what they are going to ask me...I am expecting the "what would you do if" questions, but are there any other things I should be looking out for?

I don't have the highest GPA -- in fact I am one point above their cutoff line..Will they ask or be concerned about this??

Also, if anyone here has experience in hiring, I guess I just wondered what answers you are looking for in a potential employer.

I generally feel confident about my skills but how long the interview is going to take really threw me, and now I'm nervous, so thanks for any help!

I would expect them to ask questions to determine your commitment to your education, likelihood of successful graduation & NCLEX . This may include questions about your academic performance. I doubt whether they would focus much on the 'work' aspect at this point, because it seems as though you would not be working until after you graduate.
