Postpartum care plans

Can someone tell me where I could find a website to help with postpartum care plans? I have a careplan book but it doesn't have anything specifically for postpartum. My textbook also has very little information. Thanks in advance!

Hi is it possible you could e-mail me your sample as well, so I could compare my info. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Diane

im pretty late, but do you think i might be able to recieve a copy of that care plan? Dont worry, Im not cheating. My professor has too many crazy details that wont allow us to use anyones elses; it cant even be typed, we have to WRITE IT OUT!

Again - a friendly reminder that this is not a thread for sharing careplans. Having another person do the footwork is not going to help anybody learn. There are plenty of nursing care plan textbooks out there, and Daytonite's earlier post in this thread is quite helpful as well. Yes, care plans are a pain in the butt - been there, done that - but they are useful as a tool for learning to prioritize your patient's needs, and there is no way that having someone else do the majority of the work for you is going to be helpful.

Thanks,

Elvish

there is no postpartum care plan. and if there were you would be using someone else's, exactly what your professor doesn't want you doing. and it is cheating. see help with care plans (https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/help-care-plans-286986.html) for information on how to construct a care plan. or, list your patient's assessment information and i will help you get your care plan started.

My nursing school textbook, from Ladwig, London and Olds, provided an entire section (pullouts even) with careplans and teaching points for patients, as well. Please, research the above post for your information, or do a little research at school. There is a good reason your professors and instuctors assign you to do this. In nursing, you will be doing a lot of research and using critical thinking that no one can "shortcut" you to, to solve problems in your day to day care of your patients.

One more hint. I went to school before there were many online resources and had to build my own careplans. I built them, saved them in WORD documents, and personalized them for each patient assignment for my classes. This cut a lot of time, yet allowed me to do my *own* work without relying on others to do it for me. Get creative now and you will be glad when you are a nurse, later. Your career will depend on this skill.

Good luck.

I see a trend here... I also am desperate for a care plan to review. I am done with mine... but would love to see where I need improvement. Could you send to me also Ms.RN?

I am feeling terribly inadequate!

I was reading back a few posts and noticed the concern for copying careplans. I actually have an instructor who encourages sharing care plans - NOT COPYING... but seeing it from someone elses eyes and possibly finding out something that can make our care plans better. I really don't see how these CAN be copied... all careplans must be specific to YOUR patient and THEIR symptoms and care. You get out of this what you put in.... and I want to make sure I am doing the best I can. So, copying is not an option... but learning from sharing is!

There are so many resources for careplans on line, in textbooks, at the bookstore public libraries. No one should need to have emails of another students care plan to get an idea of how to do their own!!! That is another form of cheating!! oh my smh in disappointment. People have asked to look at my careplans in school and I say no, but I HAVE TOLD THEM THE RESOURCES THEY CAN use for their own careplans. Because you wanting to see my careplan is not going to help you as a guide.

This is an older thread and the student who originally started the thread has graduated and has been working as an RN for over a year--I know, because I have been in contact with her. There are several sample care plans that students can view on the Internet and I have the weblinks to them if anyone wants to see them.

No, it doesn't at all mean that you shouldn't post. You're welcome to post in any open thread you want. ? Just keep in mind that when referring to the original post, the member who posted it has long since moved on. That's all.
