Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi everyone--

Has anyone else out there applied to the UCSF MEPN program? They're supposed to send out letters this month (December) for the interview process. Has anyone gotten a letter yet? Will those that aren't asked to the interview process get a rejection letter now?

Crossing my fingers...!

JudeyRooney81,

First, love your screen name. It's que cute. I applied to the Family NP track. Any other FNP hopefuls? My envelope was 8.5" X 11" and yellow. The enclosed papers were NOT folded. So, when you slowly open the mailbox with squinted eyes, if you see something yellow and large, you can start celebrating! I live in Oakland (the city across the bay) and my letter was dated December 19. For all of you midwesterners and east coasters, you should get your letters on Monday...Tuesday if you're far from a metropolitan area. Best of luck to you all!!!

Specializes in progressive care, med-surge.

After applying once, I can't imagine applying a second year! It's too stressfull. The CNL track is at USF. My big thing is San Francisco. I'm also applying to SF State and CCSF probably. I grew up here, left for 5 years, don't want to leave again. I love it here, friends and family are here, don't wanna move for school.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

i didn't get an invite... hopefully columbia or here in hawaii. happy holidays everyone.

Congrats to all those who got interviews! Question - what do the instructions say in your letter? Do you have to confirm or something by a certain date? My letter probably won't come until late this week or early next week (Quebec), but more to the point I won't have access to it until early January. Sounds though like I could just ask my roommate next week what kind of envelope came and that would be good enough to know... Anyway, if someone could let me know that would be great so I can decide what to do.

Hi CharmedJ7,

I have to confirm by January 5th. I hope that helps. Best wishes!

Hello everyone! I too got my rejection letter yesterday after being a finalist last year. Oh well. Hopefully, Columbia will work out. Congratulations to everyone who got an interview!

I got my letter today too, and it came in a big envelope! Hopeful nurse, I am also interviewing on the 23rd, so maybe we'll meet.

Best of luck to everyone in whatever their path leads to.

I hope we do!!

What track did you apply to RAYSM310?

Hey TSSCAL thanks for the compliment on my screen name. Actually, it's not too original. It's a variation of my first name and my fiance's last name. At first the possibility of a rhyming name sounded like a good reason to hyphenate, but I don't go by Judey, but now I think that JudeyRooney sounds like such a happy name!

I applied to the ACNP track, with the hopes of going back to rural Michigan eventually, b/c I come from an under-served area. Regardless of the outcome, I am actually moving from Michigan to Oakland, b/c my fiance lives there. He lives at the Uptown, it's a new apartment building in Oakland, but I am absolutely horrible with directions. I just know it's on William Street. Do you know where that is?

So, the good news is, no matter what happens, I will be in the bay area (I love Oakland!) and living with my soon-to-be husband.:spam: p.s. I included the canned spam even though I am a vegetarian b/c spam generally makes me laugh (as long as it's not email spam)

I applied to the ACHIN program (Advanced Community Health and International Nursing) How bout you? What program did you apply to?

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I am hoping to find out on Monday, but I am in a rural area, and the mail isn't incredibly efficient here... *Fingers Crossed* Although, like I said, I am enjoying being hopeful, after the letter comes, that joy may very well be gone...

What a strange phenomenon - guess we're in the same club this year :-) Good luck with Columbia.
