I've been accepted to the ADN program at American River College in Sacramento for this Fall as well!!! I am so excited and I can't wait for classes to begin. I applied to 2 different programs and didn't get into my first choice but was accepted to the second. Both choose students on a lottery system....I still can't believe I got in, on my first application too!! WOO HOO!!!

Do a little dance, make a little noise, get down tonight:Melody:

Congrats to everyone starting this Fall. :nurse:

alright!!!!

i am so excited for you! i was considering that college since delta was taking forever to get rid of their lottery and i was getting so mad at having to wait 2.5 years. know what i mean? when do your classes start? where are you from? i am glad to see someone close by on here!

I called my school ( Itawamba Community College- Fulton, MS) yesterday. I am #5 on the waiting list. I think I'll be in within 2 weeks. My best friend got bumped up from #28 two years ago and got in that fall. I don't think I'll have any problem getting in. There are so many people who apply for 2 or 3 different schools or majors, and get into nursing and another that they would rather go to. So, I don't think it will take too long to get in. I just hope I'm not wrong. They accepted 150 students. Surely 5 will turn it down for a different class or school. I hope, I hope, I hope. Anyway, I will let ya'll know when I get my acceptance letter.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted :balloons: .

Good luck to all still waiting.

hi cher,

i live in elk grove, about 10 mins south of downtown sacramento. class starts aug 15, 2005. i can't wait. i know how you feel, i really didn't expect to be accepted so soon. i had already prepared myself to have to apply at least 2 or 3 times. i figured i would apply to delta and sierra college next year too, but no need now!!!:) now i can really start to plan my life (the whole starting a family thing will have to wait 2 more years). i'll be 36 by the time i finish, so i'm ok with that.

Specializes in NICU.

I'm starting my ADN program in August too :) Class of 2007 here we come :balloons:

Specializes in OR, Hospice.

I was accepted into the BSN program and George Mason University in Virginia. I've wanted to be a nurse since high school, but life sent me on a detour. Now, at 47, I'm finally going to do it!!

Congratulations to everyone!! :balloons:

Specializes in Postpartum.

I've been accepted to a MSN direct entry program for non- nurses that starts fall of '05 too!! I'm finishing up my chem and micro pre reqs this summer. Craziness!!! But I guess it's a good way to ease into the pace of nursing school!

Congrats to all!

I will be attending Thomas Jefferson University-College of Health Professions in Philadelphia, PA in the Fall!!!! I got accepted into the ASN Program!!!!! :rotfl:

I am beginning my ADN in the fall at Ivy Tech in Indianapolis! :Melody: No lottery here, it is all based on the number of points you have:

Math/Science 6=A 4=B 2=C

Others 3=A 2=B 1=C

NET Test 10-40 points (depending on score)

The top 80 students in points are in the program for the fall. This was my second year applying, I was shy by 1-2 points for the prior year. I am actually really glad though, my schedule will be much better now since I have finished all other classes. If I would have gotten in last year, I would be taking classes year 'round in order to finish. :uhoh3:

Good Luck to All who made it (and those that are still waiting to hear!) :balloons:
