Possible WCCCD Nursing Applicants

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I applied for Wayne County Community Nursing program 01/2011. I have yet to hear from the college if accepted or not :crying2:. Has any WCCCD applicants heard back regarding their applications? Everytime I call the Nursing office they tell me letters have not been sent out yet. The stress from waiting is killing me slowly.

Hello Everyone!

I did my CPR on June 15th at my place of employment. I work at a nursing home and they do CPR/AED classes for the nurses through the American Heart Association. Is this an acceptable way to receive my CPR certificate? It saved me money so I am hoping this is okay.

I'm almost finished getting all my health requirements complete - if it weren't for my doctor screwing everything up, I would be done by now. She has lost my health form, requested a 6 panel instead of a 10 panel for the drug screening (after I told her and the lab employee it MUST be a 10 panel), and wrote incorrect information on the new form I gave her...I'm changing doctors as soon as possible!!! :banghead: Hopefully I will have this all taken care of by the end of this week!

I hope you all are having a less stressful time getting all of this taken care of! Happy 4th of July! Enjoy the rest of the summer!!

Hi all and happy belated 4th of july. i have been finished with all the requirement for quite some time now and i have turned everything into the nursing office. To the above post, your certificate is very much acceptable due to the fact that it is from the American Heart Association. WCCCD does not care how you got it, just as long as you got it either from the AHA or Red Cross. For those of you who are searching for good teachers to pick once august come; let me give you heads up, our professors will be picked for us, our time will be picked for us and the only thing we have control over would be ( choosing the campus) and that is by lottery still. Be ready for some long hours. We will be having a ( test, quiz, and check off) every week. most classes are between 5-9 hours a day 2 days a week. This is the last i heard from a friend who's in the program. if anyone have any additional information or anything different, please update us all.

Good luck to all!

Hello to all my future classmates,is everybody ready for orientation and class? Well you want to talk about doctors screwing up,when my doctor did my titer she only checked me for varicella,so i had to go back to get titer done all over again, other than that everything else is good, are all you guys done or almost done with the requirements ?

Hey everybody! Just a quick question...I was told that we are suppose to bring our paper work to orientation (and it must be done and dated between June 1st and July 31st), but then I saw on here somewhere that someone had turned their paper work into the nursing office. Are we suppose to turn it in or bring it to orientation?

Thanks in advance!

Hello ashleyjean87,my understanding is that we can do either one, drop it off at the Nursing offfice if its complete or bring it to orientation, its up to you,u can still double check, hope i was helpful,if I'm wrong please give all of us an update

Hey ,

If u read the tanish colored paper that came with our packet it says we can turn the paperwork in before or on Aug 3 , I don't have it infront of me but that's what I recall. You should be ok turning things in early but my own preference is to wait till orientation.

Have a good night

Alibrahimi

Thanks Alibrahimi you are right that's what the paper says !

Thanks everyone! I will be turning mine in at orientation as well. I guess I should have looked at the paper again. lol
