Thank you because in a stupid world you ALL are a smart nurses, CNAs, all others, thank you because beetwen twisted minds you are still a straigh mind, thank you for good nursing sense and judgement, even if you don't have yet a degree in nursing, thank you for flexibility in a world so rigid, thanks that you call back, loooool, thank you for your ability to choose the important from useless, thank you for your smile, thank you for your hugs, thank you for your patience with my english, than you for ALL your help each day, each evening, each night you ALL my coworkers you really count for me, thank you!

This is a great post! I try to always thank the CNA that has worked with me and my pts before they leave for the day. Sometimes when we are really busy time gets away from me and they are gone before I realize what time it is! When I first started doing this I got some startled looks and some hesitant "um, sure, no problem" responses. Now, most of them just smile and go on. We have to look out for each other and a well meant compliment is always appreciated!

TO night turn, thank you for passing on the compliment my patient's family gave me after I left. Made the whole night worth it.

So often, the only feedback we get is criticism, even when given constructively... I do get the occasional positive feedback from pts, which I love, but rarely do I get positive recognition that's witnessed by my colleagues. As a newbie, this is something I can never get too much of. I have had a couple of cases where a nurse who picked up the shift after me took the time to tell me when the pt or pt's family said I was great. It never fails to make my day. Thanks so much to those nurses who took the time to tell me these things.
