At my school we have the option of taking them combined or separated. I took them combined, but have heard from other people that they are easier when separated. I had to take it twice as I moved from KC to Springfield, MO and they didn't accept my A&P I took for nursing pre-reqs and I got an A both times. I didn't think it was TOO difficult, though it was a lot of information to take in at once.
The same thing happened to me kind of. Over five years ago I took a&p in waynesville mo then I have to take it over again since it is five years old and a&p2 in Ga. But here in Springfield they offer anatomy and then physiology. Hopefully I get a A again in both.
Hi fellow Springfieldian! What school are you going to? I am doing my pre-reqs at OTC and then transferring to MSU for my BSN.
My school only has the option for taking them combined as one course. I believe I'd enjoy it a lot more, being separated - but I'm starting next week, so I might actually enjoy them being together rather than apart. :) I suppose we'll see! I feel there may be more benefits in learning the material and not having one overpowering the other if they were separated though.

I start nursing school next week, and my school's nursing program required that the anatomy & physiology prereqs be taken as two separate, 4-credit hour lab classes. It looks like the majority of people on here took them combined in A&P. Did you like your format, either combined or separate? Did you think the classes were difficult? I enjoyed mine as separated. Thanks for your replies!
