Polk State College spring 2018 Nursing school

Hello all,

My name is Chris and I wanted to start a forum for anyone thinking about applying for the Polk state college nursing program starting in spring 2018. I am applying with a 3.45 overall GPA and a 3.5 pre-req GPA if I am adding that correctly. I plan to take my Teas in late July and I will update you all on how that goes. I look forward to hearing from everyone. Good luck! :)

Hello Everyone,

sorry for the delayed responses. I am scheduled to take the Teas this Friday September 8th! I am praying for good news and that we all get in. I will update on Friday once I get out. Best of luck to everyone and hopefully I will see you all in the Spring!

Jatotler - Have you calculated your points yet? I am curious what everyone's TEAS scores and final points are. Hopefully we all get in! I am picking up my application Wednesday and turning it in Thursday. I think you have to sit down with an advisor and go over it before you turn it in.

89.3 on my TEAS, should be sitting at 115.6 overall I think? My GPA is not so fantastic from when I was in college right out of H.S. :facepalm:

That's a great teas score! My gpa is not the highest either.

Has anyone applied yet? I applied but did not get a confirmation and nothing is showing in passport, is this the same for anyone else?

I applied yesterday. All I got was a confirmation "slip" with the name of the advisor and "nursing program application" on it that was signed by him. I am going to go in Tuesday if they are open just to confirm that my packet was processed ok.

Thanks FlNurse248! I think I may go in Tuesday as well, I didn't even get a receipt and now I'm worried that something may not have been processed

Did you sit down with an advisor? Iv been told that everyone should get a slip confirming they applied just in case so I would deffinitly go in. Good luck ☺️
