Where have you heard every other day? I am worried about our teachers and kiddos going back in the middle of a pandemic ?

I think there will be less applicants due to Covid. With so much uncertainty about schools in the fall some applicants may now need to stay home with their children or may be facing financial hardships due to Covid. Working part time or not at all during nursing school may no longer be an option for some. I would suggest not working during the first semester due to the course load of Nurse 1 and Pharm.

I think there will be less applicants for this fall. Many people have faced financial difficulties due to covid and may not be able to not go to nursing school full-time and cut back hours or not work at all. I had 118 points and was accepted last year. Now sitting at 125.

You should be good point wise for acceptance! Cumulative 3.4 GPA TEAS 88.6 Bachelors degree

Hello ? I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the fall 2020 ADN nursing program at Polk State College. I know the application period isnt open until May, but I was wondering if anyone on here was planning to apply and what your points are? Best of luck to everyone!

That Facebook group is only for our class so anything that posts on that page should only pertain to us. Admin will remove posts if they do not. Winter Haven and Lake Whales are the two hospitals left for clinicals. Winter Haven has a Monday and Saturday clinical left I believe.

Yes that was me and it is for us. If you are priority registration Monday was the first day to register for nursing 1 and pick your clinical day/site.

Welcome. It does seem a little last minute to me too so maybe she was misinformed. I think they will answer all our questions at orientation hopefully.

If not they forfeit their acceptance and they would let an alternate take their place

This allows enough time for Final grades to be posted for the Fall semester to ensure that those accepted kept a 2.5 gpa or above

I was told by a friend that is an alternate that she was told by the nursing department alternates would not know until after Dec 15th

Is anyone taking A&P2 or micro during their first semester of nursing school?
