Hey guys!
My name is Chris. I wanted to start this thread because I am interested in applying for nursing school at Polk state college for the fall 2021 semester.Everyone feel free to drop your stats (pre. Req GPA, overall GPA, TEAS score, and total points).I’m currently sitting at a 70% on the TEAS but definitely looking into retaking it to score higher. I look forward to hearing from everyone as time goes on! ?
Hello everyone, my name is Mckenzie im currently enrolled at PSC in a AA program but plan to apply for this Fall's AS in Nursing Program. My overall GPA is 2.69 and my pre req GPA is 3.02 , I recently got a 70% on the TEAS exam. Also it says I have 124 points. What do you guys think , and does anyone have any suggestions on how many points is competitive?

Hey, where are you seeing it show your points? I had to calculate mine myself (5 x overall GPA) + (5 x prereq GPA) + TEAS score + 2 if you have a previous degree= points. I didn’t know there was a way for us to see this online?

I currently have a 3.88 overall GPA and 3.86 prereq GPA. I’m currently taking Microbiology and A&P 2. So I’m hoping I get good grades this semester and do not bring down that GPA. I have yet to take the TEAS. I’m planning on my first attempt being in February. I’m definitely a bit worried about the TEAS. Good luck on applying. Hopefully we will be calling ourselves nursing students in the fall!
Hi Janice,
Quick Question! Have they filed your TEAS exam yet?
Hi guys!
So, is anyone able to access the application? The site it leads me to for the generic application is Etrieve and there's no sign-up button. I am wondering if anyone has made it past the login page as I am unable to do so yet.
Best of luck to everyone and I pray everyone applying eventually ends up in the place they were meant to be at.

The etrieve username should be the first part of your Polk state email with out the @my.polk.edu and a password u picked when uploading your instate residence Proof.

Hey, I was able to access the application and I made it to where it says the generic option. Although, in the application it says it is available from June 15th to midnight of June 30th. I know that’s what happened due to the delay before but I am not sure.

Hi Ashley,
I got my BLS certification in February through my job. I enjoyed it! We were lectured by the instructors and looked through a PowerPoint. After that we were able to practice CPR on dummies. At the end, we took a test which determined if we passed. I think the passing score was an 84%. So that is what you may expect from a BLS course if you take it in person.
