Hi Janice, Quick Question! Have they filed your TEAS exam yet?

Hi Ashley, I got my BLS certification in February through my job. I enjoyed it! We were lectured by the instructors and looked through a PowerPoint. After that we were able to practice CPR on dummies. At the end, we took a test which determined if we passed. I think the passing score was an 84%. So that is what you may expect from a BLS course if you take it in person.

Hi Ashley, I will actually be done after this semester, I’m currently taking them at Polk State. I wish I could give you information about PSHC but I have not looked into that program only because it would be too far, but I hope you can figure that out.

Hi Ashely! If you are already a student at Polk State. You can check your prerequisite GPA by logging into passport. Click Records, then click on Display Interactive Degree Audit, from there go to local program and press the dropdown to see the list of programs and then click on A.S Nursing – Generic or A.S Nursing Transition (whichever one you plan on applying to) and then press degree shop, this will show you all the courses required to apply or need in the program. Then scroll down all the way to where it says “*** Enrolled/Graduation Summary *** Current Enrollment” and the prerequisite GPA should be beside the row where it says “AS PGM GPA”. On the website, it says “Currently, for the generic option classes are on the Winter Haven campus for Nursing 1 and Nursing 3 and on the Lakeland campus for Nursing 2 and Nursing 4. Classes for the transition option are on the Lakeland campus.” So semesters 1 and 3 will be at the Winter haven campus and semesters 2 and 4 will be at the Lakeland campus. I used the Mometrix book to study and watched science with Susana on Youtube to study for the TEAS. The Math was a lot easier than the problems in the mometrix book. I just took the average of the sections right now and got an 86.3 but on the actual exam, I got an 86%. If you do take the average of the sections on the practice tests I would say you'd be close. Good luck on your TEAS!

Hi everyone, I cannot believe that the application date is a month away! I'm applying for the genetic track. I took my TEAS today and got an 86%. The points I will be applying with should be around 119.5 if I calculated correctly. After this semester I will be done with the prerequisites and the corequisites (MCB, HUN, DEP). If I do not get a spot for fall, I will try again for Spring. I hope it goes well for everyone!
