Hey thanks for starting thread. I am applying for both the generic and the transition. I currently have a 3.0 overall and a 3.33 program I got a 78 on Teas 6 and I have an AS. I have a total of 111.6 points. Hope that's enough to get into either the generic or the transition.I will be retaking the TEAS to see if I can get a better score. Good luck to all!
Hi guys, Ill be applying soon as well. I should have a 3.5 for both pre-req and overall GPA, although im finishing up two more classes that are part of my pre reqs, so maybe it will be close to a 3.6 for that GPA (hopefully). I will be taking my TEAS this friday, which I didn't study enough for, but it'll lleave me enough time to re-take it before the application deadline, wish me luck
Hi everyone! I'll be applying to the program with all of my prereqs completed and an AA degree coming from St. Petersburg College at the beginning of May. I still have yet to take the TEAS test and I'm so nervous since I won't have enough time to retake it again by the time of the application due date. Does anyone know how the program GPA is calculated? I finished the additional pre-reqs, so will that be calculated within my program GPA as well or just the required classes for application purposes?

The best advice I can give for the TEAS is to relax the night before! All of those extra classes are calculated into your gpa as well. If you go onto the Polk website they have a gpa calculator on there you can use.

Decided to start a thread for Polk State College Fall 2017 nursing hopefuls! I'm hoping we can use this post to share our stats and anxiety during the application process. So, I'll go first. My name is Megan, I have a Bachelors degree from USF. My TEAS score is an 84, overall GPA 3.25, and prerequisite is 3.75. I'm actually retaking the teas to try to get a better score next month. Let you know how that goes. Hoping to hear back from some of you.
