Polk State College Fall 2017

Decided to start a thread for Polk State College Fall 2017 nursing hopefuls! I'm hoping we can use this post to share our stats and anxiety during the application process. So, I'll go first. My name is Megan, I have a Bachelors degree from USF. My TEAS score is an 84, overall GPA 3.25, and prerequisite is 3.75. I'm actually retaking the teas to try to get a better score next month. Let you know how that goes. Hoping to hear back from some of you.

I happened to come along your guys thread but anyways I got into polk with a TEAS score of 76 if that makes you guys feel a little better.

Do you remember how many total points you had/the lowest in your class that got in?

Hi everyone! I am also applying as well. I have a Health Science Bachelors, scored an 88 on the teas 6, and I believe I have about 119 points so fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone!

I'm so glad you guys have replied since I started this thread! I didn't get any alerts that told me anyone replied. Is anyone applying to any other programs/schools?

Hi :) Im also re-applying for HCC. I applied for spring but didn't get in, so I'm trying again. I don't really have much hope, but who knows, maybe it'll work out. Two weeks away from applying guys!

HCC, but like izzies I don't have much hope, lol. I feel like they make it impossible to get in if you don't have a 4.0 gpa. I'm going to be a nervous wreck until those letters go out!

I know, I hate the wait. From what I've seen from previous Polk threads, they send out their letters MUCH quicker than HCC though. I think I wanted a good two months for a result from HCC last time lol.

Hello everyone. I am also applying for the fall 2017 Generic nursing option. My pre-req GPA is a 3.0 and my overall GPA is a 3.2. I'm about to retake my Teas in a week and half. I calculated my score and if I score a 75 on the Teas I would be at 106 points. Obviously I'm aiming for a higher score.I'm so nervous that I won't get in. Good luck to all!í ½í¸ƒ

Where can I view on passport that Polk has my TEAS score?

The only place I've been able to find it is under General Information in the Degree Audit. The last line of that block says "Special Designators.....Passing Teas Score."

Hello everyone,

I am also applying for Fall 2017, I just took my TEAS last week and scored an 87%. Overall GPA 3.5 and my pre-req GPA I am not sure of because they are counting my B in Algebra but I received an A in Stats, are we allowed to use Statistics as one of the pre-reqs? And then I also have an AA. Putting me at about 123 points.
