Polk State College Fall 2020 Hopefuls

Hello ? I wanted to start a thread for those applying to the fall 2020 ADN nursing program at Polk State College. I know the application period isnt open until May, but I was wondering if anyone on here was planning to apply and what your points are? Best of luck to everyone!

Hopefully it’s tomorrow ? LOL

I wonder what time they plan on sending everything out. Also wonder how many people applied.

They truly get on my last nerve with this. I have seen so many previous threads with agonizing applicants. They have to know we're all super anxious, especially with the delayed application period. And how about some consideration?? ...if the orientation is scheduled for next Friday, shouldn't we have some time to adjust our schedules. Let's hope this spirit of inconsideration is not a harbinger of things to come.

Another school I applied to has been saying ‘tomorrow’ since last Friday. If I don’t hear back from one of these schools I’m gunna lose it ?

Polk will have to let us know prior to next Friday unless they plan on having everyone participate in the orientation

I feel like covid really messed with all things admissions

I agree. And there's so many ways their decisions can be impacted by COVID. Do they over-admit to ensure they have a viable class or do they under-admit to adhere to social distancing guidelines and ensure all admitted students have decent clinical experiences? Did they even have a sufficient # of applicants? If our small thread is indication of hopeful applicants, we might all get admitted ?. A 12-page thread in Fall is pretty small.
