I'm just curious, how far do you drive to attend your program? My sister drives 35 minutes each way, each day just to attend her lpn program. I'm going to have to drive an hour each way just to attend a part time program. I just wanted to see if anyone else out there has a drive just to attend nursing school.
Thanks,
Marci
less than a mile. at first i hated where i live, however it's so close to everything i need now, work/school. god does work in mysterious ways and i love it.

7 3/4 miles to school so about 10 minutes or so since its highway driving. To clinicals it could be from one street away from me to no more than 50miles away BUT after looking at the list of places clinicals have been held, it looks as if I'll be driving no longer than 15 minutes. Thats not to say, when my clinicals start, they won't add new places (which, with my luck, WILL be 50 miles)
just finish LPN progam (the 1st 2 semesters of the RN program) and passed my boards two weeks ago, I am now finishing the RN program (obviously the same school) Classes are 20 min. away and clinical have been anywhere from 3 miles to 70 miles away depending on the unit we are doing quite a spread in distances!

I have to drive about 25 miles to class, but some of my clinicals are 50-75 miles one way. We live in a really rural area and unless, I wanted to do my clinicals in the LTC I already work in, I have to drive. I chose this option so as not to confuse my current pts, as a cna, but being able to give them pain meds, etc as a SPN but not as an aide later that night.
