It sounds like you will do fine. It is easy for me to say but you need to relax. Take a deep breath and do the best that you can. Review the areas that you feel weak in but don't panic. I have done the PN and RN NCLEX. I almost made myself sick with worry on the PN but for the RN I took the attitude that it would not be the end of the world if I did not pass the RN NCLEX. I did pass and you will. Be positive! Good luck!!

Hi Nina,

I just wanted to let you know I am in the same boat! :)

I completed the LPN portion of my RN program 05/13, scored comfortably above 950 on the HESI...registered with NCLES early, got my app and fingerprints in early to the ASBN....and I have OCD-like been checking the website for my test date...nothing was happening and a few of my classmates, who lagged on their paperwork had already set dates, and now are LPN's...well I did some investigating and found out that my school had "misplaced" my official transcript from the other college wher I took the Pathophysiology class...so here I am 6/9 and my certificate of completion was just mailed to the ASBN on 6/8...I am sooooo frustrated because on two earlier occasions the school had told me the certificate was sent...

But, I believe everything happens for a reason...so it was meant to be!

However, though I did really well in school, I am very anxious about being out of the loop soo long before my test...I have been doing Saunders NCLEXPN review on all subjects daily until I pass with an 80% on three quizzes in each subject, and bookmarking things I never heard of in class...those bookmarks I plan to review heavily right before the test....I am like a "very hungry rat in a cage"...and tired of sitting at my computer!!!

Another suggestion, I did purchase the Saunders NCLEXPN review notecards...these are nice for early morning because I can sit outside and review in a nice peaceful atmosphere...away from the computer!

We will do fine, I know it...I am going to take the day before I test off completely...it worked like a charm in school...study daily for hours and then take a breather...

When I hit that room, I am taking the earphones....and getting in the grove, going to my special happy place and jammin!!!

We are going to do this, I know it!!

Good luck and my thoughts are with you

Tammy :) :)

This is all the help you need: calm down, breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth.

I'm sure the program and your subsequent study will suit you just fine.

The only obstacle to passing now is your high anxiety.

You can do it, so relax!

I advice you to study hard today and tomorrow (thurs/fri) then take the weekend off. That's right, forbid yourself from study on sat/sun and relax, and then take up final review on monday. Make yourself relax and do something fun over the weekend and the resultant confidence (or at least lack of anxiety) will do you better than any amount of study.

Of course, If you can't you can't. But you must calm down. Test anxiety will force you to second guess everything. (ps. don't second guess, always go with your first guess -- it's the right answer)

i actually rescheduled for the end of June :crying2: i felt like i was so over loaded with so much information that i couldn't even sleep anymore i would wake up at 5 am to study and stay up til 2 am next morning. i decided to reschedule because i felt that if i didnt get myself together that i would just flunk that exam!! u r right abt second guessin' and doubtin' i think that i have read so much different books that i had to much excess information that i didnt need..

can someone pls tell me which book to really focus and study on, and how time a day should i study?? i have abt less than 3 weeks now..

say a short prayer for me..

tnx

Hi! I know studying for NCLEX is quite stressful. I'm taking it on July 1 and I have had a couple of meltdowns already....my husband thinks I'm going crazy! :uhoh3: I also have a bunch of NCLEX review books-10 of them! I don't know if it matters that you use a specific one; I think just going over about 100 questions a day at this point and going over the rationales is a good idea. I heard other people here say Kaplan and Saunders are the most helpful. I also like them as well as Lippincott. do you know how many questions you have done so far? Good luck! :)

i probably have done almost 3000 questions all together. i have abt 6 review books.. but the people i talk to said to focus only on 1 book. because the more information that u have the more confusing a question becomes... i dont know, i just do hope we pass!

good luck to u also
