Hello everyone,

I am desperately looking for a MSN FNP program,One caught my mind is Chamberlain university. Please share who all graduated this course from Chamberlain (Especially from Texas, because I am from Texas) and got hired by employer with no program requirement issues?

Also what other universities you suggest that is affordable, accredited and not head breaking assignments. Please let me know

Chamberlain is a difficult program, from what I have heard from friends who graduated; lots of tests that are hard. As a matter of fact, I think you will find FNP programs to not be easy in general. How much experience do you have as an RN?

I would advise against Chamberlain's FNP program. I had to transfer to another program because it was so bad. They have no freaking clue what they're doing. They make change after change after change. They don't inform the students or the instructors before the changes are made and everyone is caught off-guard. They don't vet the consequences of their changes, either. They negatively impacted the entire FNP student body by switching to a databank of questions for midterms & finals, but failed to give the instructors access to the database. This resulted in every single student failing the Epidemiology mid-term. They put off the decision on how to fix the issue, which just happened to "magically" coincide with being unable to receive a refund for the class. They will accept anyone with an RN license and a pulse.

Go elsewhere! Pick a more reputable school!!! I wasted so much time and money there and none of my credits transferred. Caveat emptor!

That's the program I transferred to after my frustrating experience with Chamberlain's FNP program. Glad to know you like USA's program. I'm really looking forward to kicking things off in a few weeks. We just finished our online orientation and have our webinar on August 23rd :)

I'm in the dual track, which track are you in, l.a.m.b.?

I'm going to be starting Frontier Nursing University's online FNP program this fall. From what I can see it's a very reputable school!

im in the solo fnp track. i have only taken one class so far. will be taking another class this fall. if i understand correctly, you paid for chamberlain and did not get one credit applied ? this is why i stay away from places like chamberlain.......they pressure you to sign up when all you want is info and they try to lock you in their program...thats a red flag right there

Find a reputable, accredited program that has a good curriculum. The FNP program is not easy nor should it be, you will be diagnosing and prescribing medication on a whole different level...trust me you will need some of those assignments cause those are the cases you will see in clinicals. My advise is to check out state schools first they are going to be the most affordable also speak with others about their program. But above all find a school that has clinical placements. I have had co-workers who advised against Chamberlin and some that loved but they were on different tracks. I was told that some employers are not really hiring from some online programs ...not sure how true this is but i have encountered some clinical sites that wont accept students from certain online schools. Frontier is a very well know program...good luck in your search.
