Specializes in Geriatrics.

I have a question for all you LNA's out there in New Hampshire. I hope someone can answer!

I finished my LNA course on August 24th, on Friday. I received my test results in the mail the following Thursday, and I mailed out the application for my license the next day. It's been about 4 days, and I haven't heard or received anything yet. Some of my classmates have their names on the NH BON licensing website with "pending" next to it, but my name still isn't on there. How long does it usually take for you to receive your license?

I think it took me about two weeks to see my license number on the BON website.

Thank you for replying!

I'm just a little frustrated, because I got hired at a LTC facility today, but they won't start my orientation until I get my license. I keep checking on the BON website, but it just says "pending" next to my name. I think I'll call them just to make sure they got all my stuff.

Did you do your crimanal background check (actually I don't even know if they are doing that anymore)

Did you get your license yet?

You should try giving the NH Board of Nursing office a call. There is one person there who is in charge of processing the licenses and she can tell you about how long it might take for her to get to your application. I spoke to her when I was waiting for my license..she is very nice. Goodluck :)

Thanks everyone! I did get my license a couple weeks ago (I emailed the NH BON, and my license was posted a day later), and I'm working at a LTC right now. :)

Yea - Good for you!!! Usually NH BON is pretty quick. Thanks for the update! Congrats again on your job :)

Congrats! Also on this forum as a stucky is information to get reimbursed for the cost of your LNA coursework once you are employed in New Hampshire so that may be worth looking into!
