Hello I have been a nurse for 15 years.
The other day I received a call rom HR saying. I was red flagged by the pharmaciest. Therefore I am susspended until further investigation.
On Monday I have a meeting about what is going on. I am scared to death as my income is
all we have for my family of 5. I am being accused of drug diversion.
Part of me is not worried bc I am inncocent. Willing to take drug test or whatever they want.
What should I expect and why the acquisations ? Has anyone been through this?
The state will investigate. If your drug test is clean, they will see that. If there were issues with things not brought to your attention until they were loaded on you with termination, you were not given an opportunity to correct. The state should see that too. Have your lawyer follow up on that too.
It sounds like your lawyer is on the ball. Questions are being asked. There may be surprises yet. Keep us posted. *Hug* I know this is hard.
Wow, reading this really makes me stop and wonder..... What am I getting myself in to????! I am a paramedic in my last portion of medic to RN transition. When we give a narcotic in the ambulance, if we waste something I just have my partner witness/sign a log book. It sounds like managers have all of the power to accuse if they want to even if there is no evidence to substantiate anything and the hospitals will back them up regardless. This really makes me pause and give thought about my future plans of getting into a field like this. I honestly had no idea.
Thank you . Thoughts keep running through my head on what will the surprise be. My lawyer is on the ball but not sure how much more I can afford to keep him. Looking over bills never & not sure how this is going to work out .
Before you fire your attorney get him/her to do one more thing for you. Most employees don't know they have legal right to view their personnel file even after they have been terminated. Get you attorney to call a request view your file and he will be making copies assist in future litigation. Then stop posting regarding this on the internet and delete all internet activity regarding it. I am surprised he has not advised this already.

Behavior issues have never been documented. My charting I guess is sloppy. I was told yesterday that I was fired for diversion and being reported to the state. My attorney contacted a top executive of the hospital at headquarters. He was told that my drug test is clean and there is no evidence of me taking meds but my charting shows otherwise. Not really sure what to make of that. So things went from bad to really really bad. I am confident that I will not be charged with diversion because it never happened. I was told from a few co-workers that HR is investigating my claim that the manager was harassing me. Apparently a few employees contacted HR and said I was treated unfairly. Really not sure how much that will help because I still was reported to the state.
