Anyone work at Planned Parenthood? If you do, do you like it?
I must add that I am into community/public health and community outreach. I know people in the past have mentioned that finding a job after might be hard if I ever looked elsewhere. But, I am into the fields of community/public health and also, mental health/substance abuse/detox. So, that being said...fire away.
Hi, all! Nursing student here! I'm looking around the boards to learn about different work environments. I'm curious about the work that RNs do for PP -- would anyone be willing to describe a "day in the life" for an RN working for PP?
Also: how do you see your role changing in the coming years?
Wishing you all stay happy and healthy during the COVID-19 crisis <3

And yep, I chose this job despite having two other offers with significantly higher pay. I had to stay prn at my LDRP RN job to make ends meet. I am not afraid to admit that abortion work is a calling for me, and PP is a very mission-driven organization. It's pretty amazing to work within an organization that is truly committed to its purpose. We had our biennial clinician conference today and so I am particularly inspired at the moment!
