Pinoy nclex takers

Published

Hi there! I'm from the Philippines and migrated here in the US short after graduation and passing the local boards. I failed my first nclex-rn exam and I'm currently reviewing to take it again soon. I wish to hear from our fellow "kababayans" who share the same experience with me. My prayers for success to all of us who are preparing for the nclex! Good luck! :):):)

pinkpaperdoll- i cant send messages yet... we dont have scanner here but guess what, i can lend it to you after my exam :D

I migrated here in california and waiting for my school to send my dioploma and t.o.r. im just not confident on taking nclex and im feeling that il fail.. well the processing time of my t.o.r and diploma is 1 month and 6months to the Board of nursing in california so i have 7 months of preparation L.O.L. but then i have difficulty reviewing im using the FEUER mp3 and NCLEX 4000 right know.. any tips? i wondering if i go back to the philippines and have a review center,.. is GLOBAL in l.a. a good review center? any tips pls.. :crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:

Hi wafu. I noticed your anxious, we all are haha. First thing is build confidence, dont say you will fail tell yourself that you will study hard and pass on your exam. Next thing did you take the board on PI? if yes processing will be faster because you have license because it took me like 3 weeks after my school send tor and stuffs. You can start reading this books which is recommended by the NCLEX passers. La charity, davis q and a, saunders, infection pneumonics allnurses: A Nursing Community for Nurses

ecg because there is usually 1 ecg in the exam- Six Second ECG Simulator

thats all good luck on your exam dont forget to pray... ill be taking my nclex this december ill inform you guys if my study habit is effective

hi jmnurse.. i really sucked in the nursing school i graduated so that's my primary concern.. the ECG readings i barely even know that.. yea i know im dumb.. cuz i really dont pay attention when having a discussion on class.. and know im terrified.. oh i didnt take the bordz in P.I. cuz im an immigrant gudluck to ur nclex jm nurse..

just wondering if im a graduate student can i take up CNA/LPN? am i qualified or i need to really finish the CNA/LPN program?

Kabayan the best review book is the Saunders. My advice is read saunders first before buying other books. Just study the disease process and nursing intervention. Just FOCUS ON THE NURSING INTERVENTION. Dont memorize just understand it. But of course you guys need to memorize the normal values in Fluid and Electrolytes and ABG. Always ask your self why is this intervention needed. By understanding it u will get the answer right away even they give you different scenario. Study infection control, prioritization and delegation. Study meds last, its really impossible to study all the meds. Just study the common side effects of the drugs.

Good luck!!
