Pinoy nclex takers

Hi there! I'm from the Philippines and migrated here in the US short after graduation and passing the local boards. I failed my first nclex-rn exam and I'm currently reviewing to take it again soon. I wish to hear from our fellow "kababayans" who share the same experience with me. My prayers for success to all of us who are preparing for the nclex! Good luck! :):):)

Hi! Pinay here. We're on the same boat. i left Phil to US too after grad. Will be taking nclex too! Probably 2 months from now. Badly Need a study buddy to help me get more motivated. Have u started reviewing yet?

Wow! Good to hear from you Miss pinkpaperdoll.:)Good luck to us!:)...I started reading about 2 weeks ago. I'am actually using the book of Gapuz Review Center from Pinas if you know that..It's helpful in a way that the content presentation is arranged alphabetically and has some mnemonics for better retention of the "must knows". I also tried the saunders and kaplan books before I took my first exam. My prayers for our success! Have faith on your dreams and you'll get there:):):)

I used carl balita's book as one of my material books... I used la charity, saunders and kaplan... you can do it guys and never give up. and always pray... it really really worked.

Good luck to you guys... I'm also a new immigrant. I'm taking mine this coming month.. i have been reading here everyday to gets pointers from those who have taken it already. Here is what i noticed i will prioritize it just like nclex haha

1. Prioritization= LA CHARITY

2. Infection control Infection Control Question.. Thanks - Nursing for Nurses

3. Some ecg strips- Six Second ECG Simulator , few computation, few ob, psych, content. For me these are things you should not miss but of course study everything..

Im using davis Q and A, La charity, Kaplan book, Gapuz ABC, Self study because i cant enroll in a review class because i have work. I also use the audio lecture of feuer review. I'm listening to it when i'm at the gym it also helps.

same here. I did self study because I cant afford the Kaplan review which cost 500 i think. I recommend also davis q and a, bcoz the questions in the book is hard, good one to start hard questions.. On my opinion, you should be more focus on your weak point, like what I did, I studied more on pharmacology which was my weakest point. then when I took my nclex good thing I studied on my weakest point because most of the question that show up was medicine... woot woot then i passed my exam, I took my exam last Sept...Pray hard... God Is good all the time... you can do it guys... Ill pray for you all.... God Bless...
