did anyone else get so stressed at the end of planning for their pinning that they didnt wanna even go??? thats where im at right now.
i am in charge of almost everything due to having incredibly lazy classmates. i feel like i am chasing my tail. they end up volunteering for things and then say "oh i dont have time" and it comes to me half cocked. i dont want to have a half cocked pinning. even our instructor is has about given up on them. i have not met more immature people since i was in high school.
they are resentful towards me and just really rude in general. i have fundraised all the money for pinning with the help of only 4 other students (the rest said they had no time and werent interested).
my idea is this. we have enough money to pay the reception site, buy cake and punch, gifts for the instructors and decorations with over 200 dollars left over. since they did NOT help me fundraise or plan this event, i think that i will donate the money. they want to split the money throughout the class, which would end up being like 15 dollars a person, but none the less, they did nothing to help raise it.
i would like to ask the instructors if it is ok and if they would select a student with extreme financial need who is working really hard and getting good grades and unannounced until our pinning, we will give them a scholarship. i think it is a fair and noble thing to do.
does anyone think its a good/bad idea?? does anyone have ways to deal with my immature and lazy classmates so things run more smoothly?
