Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

WOW!, that's pretty crazy they may push it back another week ? If they couldn't make the stated deadline they should have sent an update email so they dont recieve as many calls and assure everyone

It makes me nervous that they are taking so long. Like they have a lot of high scoring applicants

It’s really hard to get above a 90. You’d have to do extremely well on the HESI, have a previous degree, and work in healthcare. If I worked in healthcare I’d be applying with an 88 and I’ve worked so hard for my 84 already.

What’s your score again? And you applied for ASU CEP and ADN?

Just my ADN. I have an 80 if they count my volunteerism form, if not just a 76.

Oh you were the one wondering if they wouldn’t count it because they didn’t put the specific number of hours?

No. My husband and his friend own a business that I help out at. I really do volunteer my time as I dont get paid, but I'm not sure if they will count it because of the connection.

Well as long as you don’t get paid for it then it’s volunteering. I don’t see why it wouldn’t count. I don’t think they are super picky on stuff like that.

I hope they arent. It's silly how much 4 points can really make a difference.

I really wish I could have kept my job as a scribe at TMC. They kept making me work overnights and they paid minimum wage. I couldn’t afford to live on what they paid me so I have 4 points less ?

The volunteer verification form just says “documentation of volunteerism from a volunteer organization”, I don’t see any other specifications beyond that. It does use language like agency and organization, so that seems a little vague?
