Pima CC 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

Yeah me too. I’m just hoping it’s the 24th and doesn’t take any longer. Once it’s the 24th I’m going to be on edge 24/7 lol

Me too! I feel by 12pm on the 24th we should get our acceptance letters! I’m using positive affirmations right now lol??

I just checked and when I applied last semester i got the email at 12:11pm Sep. 23rd. Also I didn’t get accepted as we all know so perhaps those who get in are emailed first? ?
Also I’m sure they want to let us know as soon as possible considering I’m sure a lot of people need to get the Hep B vaccine and maybe others

I also got my rejection letter at noonish.. We will not be rejected this semester!

Very nice!! What were your scores last and this semester if you guys don’t mind me asking!? I’m at 78 points. ?

I just keep painting this little picture for myself..

Our applications are already sitting in an “accepted” pile and the selection process is almost done. They’ll finish up Friday and then take the weekend off, and send out emails on Monday. I’ve already done the hard work and I should try to just enjoy myself and be proud that I’ve taken a big step towards Nursing school. They have plenty of apps to go through, and it’s probably a good thing that it’s taking a while because they are being thorough and giving everyone’s app the time and respect it deserves.

Idk, I give myself little pep talks and it help makes the wait easier for me lol

I applied last semester with a 70 (before my previous degree posted) I’m applying this year with an 84. I applied to the ASU CEP as well as the ADN. I know last year for the NAU program a 80 was accepted.

Lol I appreciate you. I’m assuming they go through applications by the day you submitted them and then move them into piles by score. I turned mine in on January 30th so they probably haven’t touched mine yet lol

I literally just woke up from a dream where I was checking my email where a big "Congratulations" was sitting at the top from Pima Nursing and woke up before I could open it ? Really hoping Sbrown22's vision is right and it's just a matter of time before those emails are sent! I had to resend mine Feb 1 because they couldn't print my applications correctly so I'm hoping they get through the rest of the applications this week.

I also applied to both the ASU CEP and regular ADN and if I calculated correctly I applied with an 88, or it's a 78 because I dont recall having my degree posted by the submission date. I did include my unofficial transcript from my university and an admissions advisor said nursing would still see my degree since I sent it to them in October but who knows.

Did you see your unofficial transcript? Did it have the degree on it? I’m confused by “posted”, because I only had mine listed on my transcript but that’s it?

Ah I meant listed! I havent checked recently but I dont remember seeing it in my unofficial transcript before submission. Its probably because it was an international degree and took longer to evaluate. That's why I asked the admissions office if the nursing committee would still be able to see it under my profile and would still count. Probably should have asked Amanda instead in hindsight.

I’m at 86 self calculated points. I applied to both Pima ADN and ASU CEP. This is my first time applying. I’ve moved closer to campus to a smaller place and quit my full time “big girl job” and found a part time one with benefits (thankfully!) so I can have enough time for studying and still afford to like...live lol. I tried to set myself up with as few obstacles as possible. I feel pretty good about it!

TBH though, I don’t have any healthcare experience so idk if I’m more nervous that I won’t or that I will get in! I’ve been in and out of school for almost 8 years now because I kept changing my mind for a long time. I always came back to nursing though, so I know it’s the right choice. I know a few people that are applying that a quite a bit younger than me and have healthcare experience, so I feel a little behind and anxious ? but I know that it’s a good program that will adequately prepare me. It’s just hard to shake those feelings haha

Okay, I see, that makes sense. Is there a way to view your app in the email that you sent to double check? That’s cool that you went to an international nal school, what made you want to do that and how was your experience??
