Piedmont Residency Fall 2016

Published

Does anyone know when the applications for Piedmonts residency for Fall 2016 will open? Also, does anyone know the usual timeline for applying to interviews to offers?

I got an offer and accepted in the CVICU at Piedmont Atlanta!

Congrats!! (: Was it a tough interview process?

Did they tell you when they would send the contract and background check information?

It honestly was hard in the sense of if you have never worked or done a practicum in CVICU you would not know how to answer the clinical questions

The recruiter just told me I would be getting an email shortly with the offer letter and further instructions from someone that is the hiring manager

Ok thanks, I'm still waiting on mine.

I don't think that is necessarily true, if you know your stuff you should be fine. Obviously if you want to work to work in CV you will have enough passion for it to learn what you need to regardless of the opportunities you are given (or not) while in school. My friend has only had medical ICU experience and did very well in the interview. She also received an offer there.

Thanks for the input and encouragement!! We recently found out that an ICU clinical rotation will be added to our curriculum with our critical care class so I'm hoping I will get to see and do a lot to gain some insight/experience (:

Hi Futurenursey2015! Did you get the job offer at Piedmont? It's my number one choice if I'm so fortunate when I graduate in May (BSN, RN) and appreciate any insight!

Hi K1048! I'm in my last semester in New Orleans (BSN/RN) and currently working a few hours in ICU at a local hospital. Do you have any suggestions when I apply in February, I'm new to this site as of today? Thanks

Honestly make the most out of your time in the ICU. They will ask questions regarding hemodynamics and other things you see in the ICU during your interview!

I just got a call from HR and told her I was interested in the ER at the ATL location and she stated she isn't setting up any more interviews at that location for the time being, so that leads me to believe that they have already set up all the interviews at this point.

Did you accept a position with Piedmont and if so, what can you share with individuals who are very interested? Thanks
