Piedmont Residency Fall 2016

Published

Does anyone know when the applications for Piedmonts residency for Fall 2016 will open? Also, does anyone know the usual timeline for applying to interviews to offers?

I've only heard it about the cvicu

I have a friend who graduated a few years ago and works in the CVICU and she said they really only hire students who did their practicum on their unit. I'm sure there may be exceptions, but for the most part she said that's the case

I agree with you. When I was being interviewed, they did express how difficult it was to get into CVICU. Piedmont is well-known for it's cardiovascular care, so I'm not surprised that they are selective in who they want working on the unit.

I will let you all know if I hear anything back.

Good luck!!! 🙂

I just got a call from HR and told her I was interested in the ER at the ATL location and she stated she isn't setting up any more interviews at that location for the time being, so that leads me to believe that they have already set up all the interviews at this point.

I just called the recruiter back and set up an interview for the Fayette location for Wednesday for the ED.

Congratulations and good luck!!

I was just about to write them off and just got the call for an interview. If anyone is still waiting, don't give up!

Congrats! Which unit? Was it a tough interview?

A med/surg unit. It was pretty tough. 5 basic interview questions then 2 scenario based questions, they asked how I would assess, what I would tell the doctor, what treatments/lab orders I should expect from the doctor.

Wow! Sounds tough, but doable! I want to apply there next year for an ICU position. I've heard it was hard to get into :(

Oh to answer the other part of your question.. I've heard that Piedmont is a pretty good residency program, recognized nationally, and pays new grads the most ...
