Piedmont New Grad Residency 2017

Published

Hello everyone,

I recently interviewed for the Piedmont residency program and was wondering if anyone else applied or interviewed for a position. I haven't seen any recent post from this year and I'm interested to hear others thoughts on the program.

Does anyone have advice on relocating to Atlanta

Hope I could help!

I actually went to the hospital site and applied to ensure I get considered. Now, I'm praying to hear something regarding an interview in the coming days; thanks.

You've been very helpful by merely sharing the positive news, which we are all hopeful of hearing.:nailbiting:

Hey guys! I applied to the residency at two of the Piedmont locations and have my phone interview next week. I'm pretty anxious about it, so can anyone tell me what the interview process was like?

Awesome news! I'm so excited for you, do you mind sharing what locations you applied to? We will be praying for good results, keep us updated.

I applied to Mountainside and Newnan for ER hopefully.

Hey all,

Has anyone who applied in mid-February heard anything from them yet? I applied to the Midtown location for the RN residency and to the Newnan location for a "new grads eligible" L&D position, both on Feb 14, and I haven't received anything about scheduling an interview (or being rejected, either) yet.

I applied to Emory and Northside the same day. Interviewed with Emory, and haven't heard from Northside yet either. I'm trying to decide if it'd be appropriate to give their HR departments a call to check on my application status/get info re: when they'll contact to schedule an interview. Thoughts?

Emory is having their interviews today. I also applied to Northside for residency and haven't heard anything. From people in my program who talk to those working at Northside through the residency, their interviews aren't for a while.

Yeah, I was at Emory earlier for interviews. It was a mad house!

Thanks for the Northside info, that makes me feel better. I'll give them until March 14 before I call, but hopefully I'll hear from them before a month has passed! Have you heard anything from classmates about Piedmont? I'm the only one in my class who applied there, so I don't have anyone to try to harvest info from! Hah.

I know of one other person who has applied, but that was a few days ago and haven't heard anything back yet. Other than that, I don't know if anyone else who has applied. How were the Emory interviews?

I had two interviews (10am & 11:30-) this morning with Emory; both were positive experiences and was told would hear something w/i a week or two. Then I had an interview with Wellstar that resulted in another interview at their Atlanta Medical Center with another Director of Nursing and those were really good experiences (I visited four ICUs), which is classified as a Trauma II facility. In all honesty, that facility was in a rough area downtown near Grady.

I look forward to Rd to any of us hearing from Piedmont-Atlanta. One person posted she received a phone interview request at Piedmont (Morningside & Newnan) locations. We must all remain hopeful:prayerful for each other to get good news.:sneaky:
