PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

Thank you for your hard work CoreyMHill!

How many tops/bottoms did you buy? I'm sure they'll let's us know but I was just curious. Where can I find the NUrsing handbook?

You can find the handbook here on the left side on the page in PDF Nursing (RN) Generic Program―Associate in Science | Pasco-Hernando State College

You only need 2 sets and you dont have to buy the pants from the college store - they look like MC Hammer pants anyway :)

Make sure your shoes are white and non-porous.

I can't wait to meet everyone!! Im lraving for the Bahamas on August 16th. I now have something to truly celebrate! My husband and I are going to have a blast right before I have to crack down focus on school.

*** BOOKS FOR SALE***

Congrats to everyone who got in!

I became an LPN a couple years ago through PHCC in NPR and I recently completed the bridge program through PHSC in Brooksville.

I have all my books from the bridge program for sale (They are the same books used in the generic RN program)!!! They are like new!! No highlighting. Some books are still in original packaging. They all have the CD's included and unopened.

You can have my uniforms (2 tops with patches, lab coat, shoes, and white pants) if they will fit you.

I will also throw in a stethoscope, watch, lab bag, gloves, NCLEX flash cards, and an ATI NCLEX study book!!

The costs of my books and supplies were over $1200. I am asking $500. Text me if interested. 727-519-6719

86.7 accepted into generic program.

My husband graduated from the generic program in May so i have all of the books needed. I will only need to buy the lab bag. Ready for a vacation before cracking down as well.

There's no way you didn't get in Corey, you have the highest score!!

Corey I would email Connie or call, maybe they have your email address wrong? You have an amazing score, the highest! There is no way you didn't make the cut!!

Do you think we have to buy the pants that they show on the website or do you think any white scrub pants will be okay?

The lab facilitators on campus also have scrubs available for free that have been turned in by former students.

My composite score was an 81% and I got accepted to West Campus. I didn't post much this time around cause I was afraid I wasn't going to get in and didn't want to be disappointed.

Also, CoreyMHill...as everyone stated you should call or email Connie. You had to have got in!!!

I called Connie and supposedly she's not in today so I'll have to call her tomorrow. The woman that was filling in for the day pretty much said that if I hadn't gotten an email, then I hadn't gotten in, but that just seems very odd that my scores wouldn't have been good enough.
