I have decided to create a new thread for the ones that are going to apply to the ASN program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hopefully we can share information and give some emotional support to each other :)
I was reading in the previous thread about their score system that works based on TEAS score + GPA + County residency.
My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and I am in county resident.
I haven't take my TEAS test yet, but will post the results as soon as I have it and hopefully I will have some chance!
I got wait list too. I called as well and was told the same thing..that they don't tell the wait list order. I applied only for West, living in Hernando county I wasn't up for the drive to Porter so I didn't apply, seeing that some got into Porter with a 85 composite maybe I should have I have a 86.4 composite, man I really thought I had a chance! I'm so bummed.
I didn't receive any answers yet... Maybe because I am currently living in VA? perhaps I will know something between today and tomorrow.
Quite honestly, I don't think I will have a chance - but it's okay, I applied at other schools as well. (sigh)
Don't feel down! Since you are in VA, maybe you can call and ask for your status if you do not receive something today? I think you are on the HCC forum as well. We will root each other on. When I called he did say that those that were accepted to both campuses basically had 2 seats reserved for them so many seats, in theory, should be opening up!

So this cycle, I have applied everywhere, lol. Wesley chapel and NPR are both a drive for me as well... but at this point I dont care, haha! Just pull me off the waitlist! Don't give up!! Do you have back-up plans?

Not my ideal but I don't want to wait another semester, I'm already behind because of the pre requisite change they did with micro and science of human nutrition. I'm going to wait until after June 5th and see if I get a letter, then I apply for LPN around the 10th.. I know Lpn to Rn can be done, my son did it, I really really really don't want to take the NCLEX twice..

I just explained what happened to my application.... I didn't even compete with the cohort! Accordingly to my comp score I should be in the wait list as well...but well, I am out of the scene by now.

Is either campus better than the other at PHSC? Education and clinical advantages the same? Does one offer more class time options? Opportunities to take summer courses? I should probably try to get in with an advisor but the acceptances are due in 4 days and I'm working every day.
