Yep the email came before the letter. I don't remember if he also got a phone call.. he was only accepted to west not both, so maybe it's a call they make to free up another spot as quickly as they can?

According to the Adviser at West campus, East/Porter is one campus this semester, It's not a choice between the two, you attend some classes at East, some classes at Porter.
When I dropped my application off I was told the first to be notified are the ones who are accepted, and that should be the first week of June. If you are not accepted you will also be notified but not until after the acceptance letters go out.
