PHSC 2017 Fall Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I have decided to create a new thread for the ones that are going to apply to the ASN program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hopefully we can share information and give some emotional support to each other :)

I was reading in the previous thread about their score system that works based on TEAS score + GPA + County residency.

My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and I am in county resident.

I haven't take my TEAS test yet, but will post the results as soon as I have it and hopefully I will have some chance!

Is there anyone in the same boat?

I got into both campuses as well and will go with the West Campus! Thank the Lord!! Congrats to everyone that also got accepted!

Hey everyone, Congrats to all got in! I got waitlisted. I was wondering to the people who got accepted if there is a reply by date on your letters? I'm trying to figure out how long I need to watch my mailbox for.

We have until June 5th

I was wait listed as well. Boooo! !!!! I wonder if there's a way to find out how long the wait list is and my position on it?

Anyhow, congratulations y'all! Wonderful way to end the weekend! !!

To figure out the composite score, do you calculate your overall GPA or just the pre req GPA?

The prerequisites.

Hey, Sarah! I'm sure that's you! I talked to yoummn I'm Rachael. Thanks for wishing us luck! I'm so nervous about the letters!!! I wish the best of luck to you for your last year of nursing school! Keep in contact!

Yes - it's Sarah! I was scared to death I was failing 2nd semester - got an 81 on my final and passed! Second semester is NO JOKE, LOL - but I am happily on summer break and feel very accomplished for getting through micro AND adult 1!

My email is [email protected] if any of you want to send me questions, etc. I'm a rule follower so I have to be careful what I share (and I'll be honest if I can't share) but if I can be of help I am happy to be! That's what nurses do, right?

Congrats to all who got in - and those who were waitlisted, have faith! A lot got pulled from the waitlist my semester and you'd never know who was who. We are ALL smart! :)

Specializes in GYN Oncology, Post Surgical.

I haven't received the confirmation or acceptance/denial letter...

I am chasing the mail man today! :bored:

Congrats all that got in!

Let's see what the cutoff for the Generic was.

I figured I wouldn't get much information but u called to see if they would say the cutoff score or my wait list number. No go. :(

So everyone is essentially on the Wait list and once all seats are claimed they will send out denial letters. So just a little more waiting. ...

Which program/campus did you apply? what was your comp score?

I applied to both and was waitlisted at both. If I am calculating correctly... it' an 82.99.

I have a 3.79 GPA and a TEAS of 80.7. Out of county.

You will get a seat before I do since your score is higher! Good luck!

I didn't receive any answers yet... Maybe because I am currently living in VA? perhaps I will know something between today and tomorrow.

Quite honestly, I don't think I will have a chance - but it's okay, I applied at other schools as well. (sigh)
