Has anyone applied or been apcepted to Phillips Beth Isreal School of Nursing in New York? I know of one other person who applied i think, but not sure if anyone else that hangs out here did.
It would be nice to start a support thread or something, and hopefully this won't get burried in cyber space.
Hey Mystiqx, thanks for the support. I am a firm believer that when the time is right, things will start to happen. I actually just received a call from them to schedule my interview for next week so I am happy and nervous at the same time. Don't start thinking negative now- you've come this far, are focused and so you need to think positive thoughts knowing it will all fall into place when the it's meant to be. They will most likely be interviewing until the end of May so it does not mean you still won't get that phone call. Also remember that not everyone who's accepted into the program will actually choose to attend there so there will be spots that open up. What was your score if you dont mind me asking? Mine was an 124 composite; 85 percentile. I knew i needed at least a 130 when i took the test, i studied for almost 3 months, I just never do well with tests. I guess its more fustrating since i applied since october last year and got everything completed at the end of feburary. very fustrating
Are the Ny nursing schools all so competitive? Are there some that are looked upon as better?

If you are asking WHY they are all so competitive, then the answer is I have no idea, maybe lack of teaching staff who knows??
If you are asking IF the NY schools are actually competitive to get into. The answer is a resounding YES, damn near impossible, at some schools, especially the community colleges.
If you are asking if some schools are looked down upon more than others, i honestly don't know, Im sure they are. Ive heard hear-say, ive heard opinions, but im sure its to be expected sometimes.
No not yet; I have mine this Friday. I'm just praying it goes well. Hang in there, Mystiqx...I heard they are just starting to interview.

You will do great, i don't know if you ever made it too an open house, but remember at this point you have one foot in the door, this is just for you too get the other foot in.
