Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

When I went to the open house at Beth Israel the assistant dean said they do accept applications on a rolling basis so the earlier you have your application in and the earlier you take the nln the better your chances are of getting in. That was the exact reason why I took my test so early this year and had all my paperwork in by late Jan. There was even a girl who handed in her application that day, Jan 11th or something like that.

jayzelena is right. I have definitely heard that the earlier you send in your application and take the NLN the better your chances.

Hey Jayzelena and everyone else I've been talking to.

I'm good just waiting around...God I hat that this takes so long!!!!!

Ms. ***** has been on vacation and comes back Monday I am going to give her a call. They have some girl whos been filling in for her and she gives no information except "Sorry you will have to wait until you get a letter in April"...thanks big help lol

I will call Ms ***** and hopefully she would give me alittle more info than that. I will post and let you guys know if I hear anything before then

I also applied for fall 2010 and waiting to hear from them....update if there are any news... I know they first call and don't send letters...unless it's rejection letters, no?

How old are you guys? where else did you apply to? i would be an international student...and I'm 26.

I haven't heard anything either but it's still early. From what I understand MG is coming back from vacation today so maybe the committee will start meeting now that she's back. My nerves are shot. I just want to know either way so I can start making arrangements for next semester.

I don't know how old everyone else is. I'm 31.

I'm 27. I feel the exact same way at this point. Obviously I am dying to get in but at this point either way I just want to know so I can figure out what my next step is!

I'm OK...anxious because it I get accepted or not to a school tells me my next step in what should I do. Ex: What classes I shoudl register for next semester.

I JUST called MG and asked for the status of my application. She told me to hold on and she would get it. She came back to the phone and told me my folder was already in with the admissions committee! YIKES!!! Haha finally! She told me I should receive an answer probably in about a week or two! I guess they're reviewing!!!!

Jayzelena - I'm really glad too we're around the same age! We definately have to meet up if we both get accepted!

I was just online looking for parking garages in Queens near subways lol (wishful thinking incase I do get it)

Just so you know I called MGs number direct. It took forever to get through because I kept getting her voicemail but finally I got her
