Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....
Honeycutts,
I want to thank you so very much! I had looked through the thread when you were first applying to BI and the same thing happened to me with the letter. I just called MG and she didn't understand why they closed my file. She said my nln scores were fine and my grades were good. Then she asked if I could send her my official transcript for spring 2010. I can't until the 1st week of June cause my last final is on May 26th but she wanted me to fax over my grades that I received on the tests. She then said they are going to re-open my file!
I want to thank you because you inspired me to call her. If not for you I probably would've never called. Thank you so very much!!

Hi Everyone!
I have my interview tomorrow! I really hope it's true that an FA extension is given to those accepted so late in the game! I was also curious as to how often an interviewee ends up getting rejected anyway, since I'm super paranoid now that I've gotten this close!
Buckets of luck to everyone still waiting, and congrats to those who have made it!
Kem - I have very similar scores (composite score was a 141, composite percentiles were a DI/98%, AD/96%, ALL/97%) and I interviewed this week. You mentioned that you received your informal acceptance already. I was told to e-mail or call in a month. Did they just tell you over the phone a few days after your interview? I'm so eager to find out, but I don't want to annoy them with persistent phone calls and e-mails!
Also, someone in an earlier post asked about people who interviewed and did not get in --- has anyone heard of this happening?
Thanks and good luck to those of you who haven't heard anything yet!
Congrats on the interview! They told me when I could email them for a status update and gave me the unofficial decision in a response email. I wanted to email them sooner but I didn't want to bug them. They're super busy as it is. I just annoyed everyone else in my life with the whining about wondering, waiting and not knowing! :)
I don't know of anyone who interviewed and didn't get in but I'm sure it's happened. I know at their open house one of the speakers mentioned that if you get an interview it's pretty much a sure thing but key words were "pretty much." LOL I got the sense that they just wanted to see if you were the same person, sincere and understood the committment you were making by attending such a challenging program. Ya know?

Thanks Kem! I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll hear from them before the 18th
What were your NLN scores?
