Hi everyone,

I've been reading this thread for awhile now, but just decided to create an account and post.

I'm a 24 year old male and applied to the day program at PBISON. I currently have an interview scheduled for this Wednesday. I know a lot of people have said you're pretty much in if you get an interview, but has anyone on here interviewed and then been denied? And about how long do they notify you of their final decision after the interview? And does the answer come by snail mail? The new school year is quickly approaching, and I'm hoping it's a quick response so I can start planning the next few months and give notice to my work.

I also saw on their website that PBISON offers full and partial scholarships. Does anyone know how to even be considered for these? Would love to have some or all of my tuition taken care of...as I'm sure we all would :)

Starlette, what do you mean "today is judgement day"? Was today the last day they were reviewing applications or something?

THanks guys...it actually worked out for me because I got accepted to Nassau Community! I'm happy because I live in Queens and could drive there, wouldnt have to commute to the city everyday...good luck to everyone though

Hi everyone,

I contacted the school today, since the committee was meeting yesterday, but MG replied to check back on May 19th-- It looks that they are meeting again on the 18th---

I wonder if, indeed, they did meet yesterday but didn't get to all applications or they just didn't meet at all---

I am concerned because in the interview they told me that we only have until June 1st to fill out the Financial Aid package and it seems that the decision keeps getting postponed.

Anyone else in this situation?

Hi everyone. I just got my unofficial decision from BI and I'm in!! I'm still in a bit of shock. It's been such a grueling process to get here and I can't believe it's done. On to the next new challenge - school! They said I should be receiving the official letter of acceptance shortly. I hope this is the start of many acceptance announcements to come guys!!!

Congrats on your acceptance! You say you got your unofficial acceptance. Did they interview you or you called them and they told it to you over the phone? I'm in the same boat as the person who needs to fill out the financial aid application before June. It's already the middle of May! They aren't giving us much time! Do you think that the 18th will be the last day for them to decide on who is going to get accepted?

Hi newyorkstar. Shortly after they received my test scores they called me in for an interview. After the interview they told me that the admissions committee would be meeting and I could email them for the unofficial decision. They said a letter with the official decision would follow soon after. I don't know if its the same for all applicants though.

As for financial aid, I called the # for BI's FA dept today and the lady told me to wait until I received my FA packet. I'm a bit nervous though because June 1st is right around the corner. I think I might call back to see if I can at least get the ball rolling on this. (ie. pin, start the FAFSA ...) I'll let you know if I find out anything more tomorrow!
