PGH doesn't have a voulunteer program for nurses, but UP Pahinugod does... it's in the ER of PGH but the volunteer program is not related to the Nursing Service of PGH. It's a good platform for experience and new things to learn... my classmate is doing volunteer work there.

thanks saling.. how long is the volunteer work there? u mean, volunteer in ER department?

yes it is an Emergency Room Volunteer Program under UP Pahinungod - PGH Department of Emergency Medicine. You should complete 100 hours in 3 months. If you're interested I suggest you go to PGH and inquire. I heard even non-allied health courses graduates can also volunteer...

sorry, please enlighten me, what is "UP PAHINUngOD"? is it in PGH Taft as well?

ok.. thanks saling. yeah by the way, wer is that?

PGH is located in taft avenue, manila near ROBINSON MANILA

Specializes in SICU, Burn Unit, PACU, CCU.

I was once a Pahinungod volunteer at the ER of PGH until I became a staff at PGH.. Being a pahinungod volunteer is not purely for nurses but for all those who are willing to spend their time and effort in helping patients in the ER of PGH.. even if you're not a student or graduate of an allied health course, you can also have the opportunity to take part on this kind of volunteerism..

you will experience the real health care situation of our country after being immersed on the culture of PGH.. so I am highly recommending this volunteer program for those who are still waiting to be employed..

Pahinungod is located inside PGH.. it is situated on the mezzanine.. just above the UP Health clinic.. and below the Burn Unit of PGH..

Pahinungod is an association under the University of the Philippines which caters for volunteer programs like ERVP, medical mission, education for street children, feeding program, etc..
