Is anyone a member of Phi Theta Kappa? I joined last semester and I received an offer for two $5000 scholarships from colleges in my state. I was wondering about some of the other benefits Phi Theta Kappa may offer.

I believe that PTK membership is controlled through the local community college, so there should be an advisor on campus that you can contact.
I was a member in name only (not involved in any activities), but was still awarded a half-price tuition waiver at my university. It should be worth about $15,000 by the time I've earned my BSN.
I think the $65 I paid to be a member was well worth it. I tell everyone to check into it... if you've made the grades, why not take advantage of them!

I got invited to join, but changed colleges during the semester I could have become a member. Then, I didn't get invited at the new college (even though my grades were good enough) because I was only a part-time student.
manna,
There are alot of schools that offer member ships to part time students.

I thought that was for men only? Or am i thinking of something else?
No Phi Theta Kappa is for all...
I just looked on their web site and I was mistaken. Now I have a beef with them.In the fall of 2002 my GPA was 3.54 I wonder why I wasn't invited to join?

Really? Apparently none of the ones I've attended! LOL :)
Hopefully I'll get invited again after this semester - I'm taking 13 hours. I'm a little worried about my GPA though, since the B I got last semester dropped it a point or two.
Yes it was
